4 years 4 days

It has been four years since WAX adopted a 4-day working week, and we thought it was time to share an update with you.

It is a decision we continue to embrace. We have seen an increase in productivity, performance, staff engagement and wellbeing, and our work-life balance is better than ever.

In the studio, we have made improvements to our workflows and processes to maximise efficiencies. The precise planning and scheduling of project tasks ensures successful time management and teamwork, and enables us to continue to prioritise our client relationships and industry partner collaborations.

Monthly ‘WAX Works’ workshops focus on different topics and allow us to share knowledge and skills learned with each other. Wellbeing sessions (e.g. breathwork, stretching classes) help us to relax and reduce stress, while social outings boost morale and strengthen relationships. Our carbon footprint has also been reduced due to less commuting and energy use in the studio.

Last year we reduced our ‘full-time working week’ even further from 35 hours to 33 hours, and have still managed to complete the same number of projects within their timeframes.

We encourage fellow businesses also to make changes that will improve their work-life balance. Feel free to contact us if you’d like to learn more.
