Monarto Safari Resort

Nestled alongside the Monarto Safari Park in the new Wild Africa Precinct, the Monarto Safari Resort offers an escape to nature and unique wildlife experiences. It features a landscape where the Mallee Plains of Monarto meets the Savannah of Africa, and is a story of migration and meeting on Country.

Visitors are invited to slow down and connect to place, as they journey through an extensive native arrival landscape and shared use plaza entrance to the hotel. Taking cues from the surrounding environment, the materials chosen reflect the natural aesthetic and the built form narrative, with stone paving, timber, gravels and plantings, which transition through to the interior design.

Views of the Savannah and connection to the Monarto Safari experience were the key drivers for the resort experience on the eastern side. Elevated decks, pools and dining experiences maximise visitor immersion and connect to the wildness of the landscape and the African animals as they roam beyond.
