Edwardstown Oval

This project involved a detailed process of engagement, analysis and planning to re-imagine Edwardstown Oval as not only a high quality sporting hub but also a community facility.

Working with Swanbury Penglase, the project delivers a facility with numerous community uses including football, bowls, cricket and cycling whilst maximising both formal and informal recreation opportunities.

The design builds on the existing context of the Oval, delivering innovative spatial responses that integrate built form and open space. It provides multi-function sports courts, commemorative gardens for the RSL and playspaces, whilst utilising the existing embankments of the velodrome to create usable open space for the wider community.
