Immanuel Primary Playspace

The Immanuel Primary School outdoor learning space has been redesigned with a combination of challenge and nature play based adventure, which transitions to outdoor courtyards and learning spaces adjacent the newly renovated classrooms.

The linear nature of the space provided an opportunity to create a series of courtyards, with timber decks and seating walls nestled amongst new shade trees, outdoor blackboard and amphitheatre seating.

A custom elevated timber structure at the playspace entrance features a bridge, climbing net, slide and rock mound with water and sand play adjacent, combining both imaginative and challenging play opportunities.

All play and learning experiences were developed in conjunction with the students and school, highlighting the power of engagement and consultation to create such fantastic outcomes for all.
