St Thomas School

STEM facilities and an outdoor ecology centre developed with Grieve Gillett Architects provided the opportunity to develop an underutilised area of the school into a new outdoor learning precinct and delivery of Stage 1 of the St Thomas School Masterplan.

The landscape design includes raised vegetable gardens, productive fruit trees and herb gardens which extend ecology learnings and student engagement into the garden.

Open space lawn areas provide breathing space and access to an open pergola destination within the courtyard. This separate ‘chill out zone’ is further activated with the integration of suspended cocoon seating.
