Rosary School Stages 2-4
Following the school master plan in collaboration with Grieve Gillett Architects, outdoor spaces have been transformed into vibrant, functional environments that support learning, play and connection.
Play areas offer climbing, trampolines, cubbies, sand and water play — encouraging physical development, risk-taking and problem-solving. Increased greenery and accessibility ensure all ages and abilities can engage in outdoor study and creativity.
Outdoor learning courtyards provide social spaces, while central lawns and an amphitheatre support informal play, recreation and whole-school gatherings. We worked with the school to honor the site’s history, embedding the old church hall’s legacy through paths and edges in alignment to its old footprint.
Reclaimed red brick became paving and a recreated archway, while bluestone formed seating walls with etched typography.
A re-imagined drop-off zone doubles as an active court space with ball walls, foursquare and a patterned plaza — maximizing space and functionality, while future-proofing a growing school.
