Bristow Smith Reserve Foreshore & Playspace

The Bristow Smith Reserve Foreshore and Nature Playspace project was designed to rejuvenate the coastal amenity and create an innovative play experience. It reflects the aspirations and philosophies developed by Alexandrina Council for natural play, open space, aquatic play and recreation.

This includes the incorporation of a salvaged timber boat into a nature based playspace full of challenges, exploration and diversity.

The adjacent children’s swimming beach has been connected to the playspace. This allows families to enjoy the magnificence of the Murray River in an environment that offers children a choice of stimulating, physical activities.
